9 Misfortunes

I found this article in Elite Daily that really made my day. It's a must read, especially to those people who were feeling down and feels like that the world is not on their side. It's a good read, you'll feel a way better afterwards.

9 Misfortunes Everyone Experiences That You Don’t Realize Are Blessings In Disguise

The day someone cheated on you and you found out

It’s never a desirable moment when you find out the person you trusted and cared for went and broke that trust. Finding out that the person you have devoted yourself to is unwilling to do the same for you is painful, excruciating even, if you love him or her.
It can be difficult to see the good in such a situation, but as the saying goes, “once a cheater, always a cheater.” It’s better you found out now than wasted another few months or years believing in a lie. You’d be worse off if you didn’t find out.

The day you didn’t get the job you thought you always wanted

The universe has a funny way of working. Often, we will find that while we don’t get what we want, we get what we need. Just because you didn’t get hired for what you believed to be your dream job doesn’t mean you failed. In fact, there is certainly another opportunity waiting for you around the corner.
When one door closes, another one opens.

The day you got fired

If you got fired from your job, chances are you weren’t doing it very well. If you weren’t doing it very well, then you must not be very good at it. If you’re not very good at it, then you most certainly aren’t passionate enough to learn to do it right.
A lot of times we get stuck in dead-end jobs or jobs that simply aren’t the right fit. It can be difficult to pull yourself away from such a job, especially if it pays well.
When you get fired from a job that you never particularly cared for, however, it calls for some celebration! But not too much… You are unemployed, after all.

That time when your best just wasn’t good enough

One of the greatest learning experiences we have is that moment we realize we aren’t doing enough. It’s easy to coast along in life, especially when you are one of those individuals everyone believes to be incredibly talented.
The more talented you are, the less effort you usually put forward. This way of thinking catches up with everybody. Talent can only take you so far. Without hard work, dedication and sacrifice, you will get nowhere in life. This is just the wake-up call you needed.

The time you hit rock bottom

Does everyone hit rock bottom? Maybe not. But we all find ourselves laying at the bottom of a deep ditch from time to time with seemingly no way out.
Hitting such lows in life is not an uncommon site. Most of the time, it’s your own fault — whether you choose to accept responsibility is another question. Luckily, you just hit rock bottom, so you have plenty of time to think about why you are where you are and how you can help yourself to climb out.

The time your friend stabbed you in the back

Good friends are hard to come by. Sadly, differentiating between good friends and bad ones is often a difficult task; no friend will admit that he or she is a shitty one to have. However, when that friend of yours does stab you in the back or break your trust, look at it as a blessing.
You made a poor judgment call at first, but now you have a chance to fix it and remove that negative influence from your life entirely.

That time you had your heart broken into millions of little pieces

I cannot stress how much of a blessing this is. Having your heart broken allows you to feel things you have never felt. It shows you a side of life that not everyone gets to see or experience. It shows you the darkest side of humanity, and in turn, shows you the brightest side.
Having your heart broken is, I believe, what turns a kid into an adult. It is a pivotal moment in your life that, if understood properly, can change your life for the better forever. It did exactly that for me.

The day you lost a person you loved

Life is beautiful because it isn’t eternal; it has an ending.
We often think that perfection is everlasting, but that isn’t true. Perfection is objective and that which has no end we see of little value.
Throughout our lives, we will lose many friends and family members. We will see people brought into this world, and we will see people — maybe even those same people — leave it. Losing someone close to you is very difficult to cope with, but it does help you understand how valuable, fragile and beautiful this life is.
Losing a loved one gives you a newfound appreciation for existence itself.

That day you almost threw in the towel, almost gave up, almost called it quits

…But you didn’t. That day is the day you broke the sound barrier, ran through that brick wall and became a success.
We all define success a little differently. To me, succeeding is pushing forward, pushing beyond your limits in order to achieve a goal. Success is not giving up when the only thing you can think about is calling it quits. It’s continuing to fight the good fight when your knees can barely support your weight.
Few make it past the point of defeat, but those who do are, more often than not, rewarded.

Good Times With Mo with MIKE LIM

I'm a Good Times with Mo listener and this episode is one of the most interesting of them all aside from Ellen Adarna's episode or Kat Alano or any other celebrity guests in this podcast show.

Shows in My Mind

While my tummy was so busy growing these past few months, my boredom was also busy making me crazy. Well, other than looking out for Vash (my handsome eldest kiddo, my son), and no Internet connection in the house yet, there's no other fun thing to here aside watching television. I'm thankful to Cignal and also to my parents for deciding to install a cable.

Here are some of the shows that entertains me during those nasty days.

Secret From A Stylist

"Secrets From a Stylist takes a tailor-made approach to styling a room as Design Star
winner and professional prop stylist, Emily Henderson, customizes a room layer by style layer to ultimately help the homeowners discover their individualized personal taste"

I love this show to the highest level. Hosted by a very good interior designer Emily Henderson. I like her style of re-inventing each rooms. Most of her clients are couples, she analyzes each individual's personalities and combines their style and taste to decorate the rooms. I love her way of styling, colorful, quirky and utilizes each space.

K Style

"K-style is a program that aims to introduce various parts of Korea’s popular culture targeted towards females from 18 to 28. Our two hosts, Sarah, a fashion stylist and designer living in Korea, and Irene, a Korean-American fashion model who has been active in both New York and Seoul, will be able to introduce and explain each topic based on their own personal experiences living as Americans in Korea. Guests will be invited in order to add a new perspective and dynamic into the talk or topics we are able to introduce"

One of the reason why I'm dying to go to South Korea, they are my sources about Korea's latest fashion trends and beauty products. They also tackle about Korea's lifestyle and introduce the viewers to Korea's newest it place, food, cafes and other things. I love Korean fashion, so colorful and so their make-ups. Hosted by Irene, Sarah and recently joining the odd partners is Brian.

Carter Can

This show is hosted by Carter Oosterhouse, he's a carpenter and his do it yourself projects are really cool and very functional. Like Emily, he utilizes each spaces too and makes a furniture with a lot of storage too. He's style is also cool and very creative. Carter Can can be watched in HGTV.

Jessica & Krystal

"Jessica & Krystal takes the viewers behind the scenes, to unveil Jung Soo Yeon and Jung Soo Jung's normal, everyday life as sisters and friends. The use of the pair's Korean names implies that the viewers will be seeing an up-close and personal side of the two sisters, instead of their stage appearance as Jessica & Krystal"

Ahhhh! the Jung sisters. I love them to bits, they're both stylish in a different way. Jessica is more on a feminine, super girly type of a fashionista while Krystal is more on the chic type. But whatever, both of them are sooo pretty. This reality show shows how close they are and loving as sisters. The Enciso sisters remind me of them in styling.

Styled To Rock

"Styled to Rock is an American reality competition television series, executive produced by Barbadian recording artistRihanna which focuses on fashion design. The contestants compete with each other to create the best outfit for one or more famous music acts every week. They are restricted in time and materials. Their designs are judged and the music act of the week chooses his favorite one. One designer is eliminated each week."

It's just like any other fashion reality shows. I just like their guests every week. The popular ones, Miley Cyrus, Khloe Kardashian, Kelly Osbourne and many more. It just saddens me that Andrei (Filipino contestant) didn't make it to the finals.

Just For Laughs 2

Ngayon doggy-style na."

Anak: Bakit bumaha?
Mama: Dahil sa basura.
Anak: Aw, akala ko dahil sa ulan.

Enjoy!

STYLIZED

Have you read or bought the book STYLIZED by Liz Uy? Well, I don't neither, but that doesn't stop me to get very excited with their upcoming show in ETC which is also entitled STYLIZED with an addition of Liz's pretty sister and famous fashion blogger Laureen Uy. I LOVE HER or Them! hahahahaha

The show will air on September 12 at 9pm, Friday. I can't wait for that day to come and will definitely jot that down in my planner (I can be very very forgetful at times).

Just for Laughs?

I found these funny expressions from a friend's Facebook. hahaha I like to share it with all of you because it is so funny and I can't help to spread these words.

Plus, if you google the translation of these Bisaya sayings, the result is so funny that they literally translate each word and not the whole thought. hahahahahahahaha
